Blaze Extinguished at Korean Oil Refinery

Firefighters in South Korea successfully extinguished a blaze at an S-Oil refinery yesterday, approximately three hours after it began.

Local fire department officials reported that there were no casualties from the incident, which occurred in the early morning hours. Photographs from the scene depicted intense flames emanating from the facility.

According to the Ulsan fire chief, firefighters conducted a controlled burn of residual hazardous materials in a pipe following the closure of the production line valve.

The S-Oil refinery is situated in Ulsan, roughly 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
