Chemical Plant Fire Claims Six Lives in Jaipur, Rajasthan
Tragedy struck when a fire erupted at a chemical plant in Jaipur, Rajasthan, resulting in the loss of six lives and leaving one individual injured, as per reports from local news outlets.
Jaipur District Collector, Prakash Rajpurohit, disclosed that the fire originated following an explosion within the factory’s boiler.
Regrettably, one of the two injured individuals, admitted to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh government hospital with severe burns covering 95% of their body, succumbed to their injuries. Hospital authorities revealed that the other victim sustained burns covering 65% of their body and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Jaipur Commissioner of Police, Biju George Joseph, confirmed that five fatalities occurred immediately at the scene of the incident.
Following the calamity, locals assembled at the site, calling for accountability from the factory owner, who remains at large. Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, expressed condolences for the loss of lives and instructed officials to extend support to those affected.
Authorities have successfully extinguished the fire, and Rajpurohit affirmed that a thorough investigation into the incident will be conducted.
