Fire Contained at Danish Oil Refinery

A fire broke out at the refinery around 10:20 AM local time today, triggering the facility’s fire alarm system. This alarm set off an immediate response from Crossbridge Energy’s in-house firefighting team, who were supported by the local fire department and police.

In a statement, Crossbridge Energy emphasized that their emergency team was well-prepared and trained, which contributed to the incident being handled without any injuries. The fire was quickly addressed, and the fire department reported that the blaze was under control and fully extinguished by 12:30 PM, according to the company.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but an investigation is underway. The Fredericia plant had started reducing its production on August 20th in anticipation of scheduled maintenance, though it is unclear whether this had any connection to the fire.
