Incident at Oil Refinery Causes Injuries in Duhok

An incident occurred on Tuesday at an oil refinery in Duhok, situated in Iraqi Kurdistan, northern Iraq.

According to a statement from a source within the Civil Defense Department, three individuals were injured during a fire incident at the oil refinery located in the Kwashe industrial area, located to the west of the Governorate.

Emergency response teams effectively managed to control and extinguish the fire.

The fire has been successfully contained by the civil defense teams, and those injured were transferred to the hospital for necessary medical attention.

Reports from eyewitnesses to the incident suggest that a fire erupted at the refinery, possibly sparked by a passing gasoline-carrying tanker, resulting in significant damage to the site.
