Incident at Oil Refinery in Khargone Leads to Injuries
In Kasrawad tehsil of Khargone district, a fire erupted at an oil refinery situated in Peepal Jhopa, resulting in injuries to four individuals.
According to the local authorities, the fire broke out at the Asian Organics facility in Peepal Jhopa around 5:00 pm for reasons yet to be determined. The refinery processes old crude oil for various industrial applications.
Upon notification, the Balakwara police swiftly responded to the scene, led by TI Rameshwar Thakur and Khaltanka outpost in-charge Ritesh Tayde, who managed the crowd effectively.
Subsequently, SDOP Manoharsingh Gawli, SDM Agrim Kumar, and Tehsildar Munna Aad, accompanied by police and administrative officials, arrived at the site. The collector and SP also joined the inspection.
As a result of the incident, Brajgopal from Indore (aged 40), Avnish, son of Yadunath from Etah, Uttar Pradesh (aged 30), and Lokesh Shivkumar from Shahjanpur sustained injuries. Brajgopal suffered burns covering 20% of his body, Avneesh between 18 to 25%, and Lokesh up to 30%. Following initial medical treatment, all three injured individuals were transferred to a hospital in Indore for further care.
