Major Fire at Amsterdam Schiphol Car Park Sparks Chaos and Destroys Dozens of Vehicles
On November the 11th, firefighters confronted a significant blaze at a parking facility near Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, a key entry point for travelers. The fire resulted in the destruction of approximately 40 to 50 vehicles.
Emergency services responded to the scene around 3 a.m. today. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined, and authorities have indicated that a police investigation will follow. A spokesperson from the local fire department reported multiple fire outbreaks in the area.
Firefighters continued to combat the blaze in the morning, focusing their efforts on two electric vehicles still burning. The remainder of the vehicles had been successfully extinguished.
Photos captured during the early hours revealed thick smoke billowing from the fire at the parking area, with firefighters navigating through intense flames to bring the situation under control.
